Hi, I’m Emma. Founder of The Speaking Hub.
After 11 years of working as a public speaking coach and speech therapist I realised the biggest opportunities in my business came from actually from being in the room. It's how I built my business network so quickly and an audience of 23k across 2 platforms. But there is a difference between being in the room and knowing how to articulate your brilliance so other people just get it.
It is my mission to have as many women speaking up, sharing their story and actually getting paid for their expertise. So they can get more eyes on their incredible work, change even more lives and get the kind of opportunities they used to dream about.
So I've built the kind of room I actually wanted to walk into. I have created a space where fun, high energy women can meet each other, skip the small talk and connect. Where they have the platform to use their voice and share their magic with other women.

I had the honour of working with Emma when I got 6 speaking opportunities over the space of 2025. Emma really saw how to get me stage ready. Throughout our time together we worked on my breathing (turned out I was actually breathing backwards), how I present myself on stage and how to create a very good keynote. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to speak?
No, speaking is completely optional. There will be opportunities to take the floor and speak if you want to, but there is absolutely no pressure. This room is designed for women at all stages of using their voice more.
I’ve never spoken on a stage before, is this still for me?
Yes ,you do not need speaking experience to attend or apply for a speaking slot. This is about learning to use your voice more confidently and becoming more comfortable taking up space in rooms that matter.
How do the speaker slots work?
There will be 3 x 5-minute speaking opportunities available during the event. Once you purchase your ticket, you’ll receive an application form with more information.
The talks can be about your business, your story, a message you want to share or something you feel called to speak about As The Speaker Room grows, there will also be opportunities to apply for the longer 20 keynote style speaking slot at future events. Clients currently working with Emma and The Speaking Hub will receive first priority for future keynote opportunities and speaking placements.
Is lunch included?
No, there is tea, coffee and light refreshments included. Lunch is optional once the event has ended. You will be sent an email asking if you'd like to join for lunch and a beach walk to continue conversations once you've purchased your ticket.
Is this just for business owners?
No. Whilst many women attending will be founders, entrepreneurs and leaders, this room is for any woman who wants to connect, use her voice more and step into bigger rooms.
What kind of networking is this?
Intentional networking. This isn’t a room full of awkward pitching or surface level conversation. The Speaker Room includes light structure and prompts designed to help conversations flow naturally and meaningfully.
What if I feel nervous coming on my own or speaking to new people?
That’s completely normal, most women in the room will likely feel the same way initially.
This event has been intentionally designed to make connection feel easier and less transactional than traditional networking spaces. You do not need to be the loudest person in the room to belong there.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel like you. Most women will likely dress smart casual or elevated casual, but there’s no strict dress code.
Can I come alone?
